We have now been open for a short while at The 02 and already Thai Silk has established itself as one of the more successful Restaurants and Bars at The World’s Most Popular Entertainment Area.

Thai Silk has a spectacular position inside the Tent, it is one of the first Restaurants & Bars you will see on the left hand side of Entertainment Avenue. Inside we are the only Restaurant & Bar that is lucky enough to contain the legs of the Tent Support and through the middle of these legs is the Greenwich meridian Line, so we have half the Restaurant in the East and half in the West, ‘Thai Silk Straddles the World’ could be our motto.

This is in fact beginning to come true, we are currently constructing our first Restaurant & Bar in Bangkok, Thailand, situated on the very busy Sukhumvit Road, Soi 45. To enhance the Thai Silk spirit we are also including a Thai Cooking School and a Spa within the complex.

The Success of The 02

The O2 arena has beaten off all competition to be voted both Best New Concert Venue and Best International Arena of the Year. Since opening The O2 has hosted some of the biggest live music acts around such as Justin Timberlake, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, 8 nights of Take That, 17 nights of Spice Girls and the legendary Barbra Streisand plus gig of the decade - Led Zeppelin. Prince made The O2 his home during the summer to play 21 sold out nights in the arena which has already become the world's highest grossing music arena. Events planned for the rest of 2008 promise to be just as successful.

We have managed to keep all our Menu & Drinks prices down as much as possible and still run our Value for Money Lunch & 5-7 specials. The new Bar Menu and Chef’s Recommendations are looking really good and great feedback on the new dishes has been coming in.

Capacity
The restaurant on the 1st Floor has seating capacity for 120, Buffet Style 300. The Bar on ground level has capacity for 300 patrons. Food can be ordered either in the Bar or in the Restaurant. Sections of The Restaurant & Bar can be independently reserved for Office Parties, Celebrations, Leaving Parties or for just general enjoyment.

Sport on Sky & Setanta
We have now subscribed to both services and will be able to show all of 2008’s Sporting Events in 2008

On Concert and Events Days we have a special Events Menu. This menu will be available all day and especially when the Event goers start to arrive in numbers, competitively priced at £14.95 it contains Starters, Main Course and Dessert; it is also available for Vegetarians. We have designed this menu to ensure that we can still offer the best food from Thai Silk and at the same time realise the time constraints of people attending an event.

By High Speed Thames Clipper - Fast & Frequent

Speed through London in luxury to The O2 with Thames Clippers' fast & frequent boat service every 15 minutes from the following piers: Embankment, Waterloo, London Bridge, Tower, Canary Wharf, Greenwich, Royal Arsenal Woolwich and more... It’s a fabulous way to start and end your experience at The O2 … we thoroughly recommend it!

Fares are £2.50 or £4 for a single journey and travelcard discounts apply. For just £18 you could take advantage of the Thames Clippers VIP service which will take you to The O2 and back and you can enjoy priority boarding and disembarkation with champagne on your way. Tickets can be purchased onboard or online with Ticketmaster. Private charters also available.

By bus
North Greenwich for The O2 is a major travel interchange with 7 bus routes and a frequency of up to almost a bus a minute.
